ICFP (International Conference on Functional Programming) is an annual programming language conference. It is sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) under the aegis of the ACM Special Interest Group on Programming Languages (SIGPLAN), in association with Working Group 2.8 of the International Federation of Information Processing (IFIP).

ICFP provides a forum for researchers and developers to hear about the latest work on the design, implementations, principles, and uses of functional programming. The conference covers the entire spectrum of work, from practice to theory, including its peripheries.

ICFP 2009 was held at the Royal College of Physicians, a historic building in the centre of Scotland's capital city of Edinburgh.
